A Hard Day

Jonathan has been fighting a cold for the past week. He did not go to preschool today due to his runny nose, but he still was able to keep himself
entertained...
He brought a few of his puzzle creatures to me and said that
he was going to have them "race" and go to the finish line. I said, "Okay, sounds good." --having no clue what he was talking about until I went into the hall and saw the MAJOR race. I think he lined up every car he has along with his puzzle creatures (from Chick-fil-A) and his mini Cranium games (from Wendy's). Notice how nicely lined up the toys are. I wonder if he has a little OCD in him. I can't imagine where he would get that from...

Later on, Lauren was being very fussy. I think that she is getting a little sick too. She was screaming/crying, and Jonathan tells me, "Mom, Lauren is having a hard day." What a sensitive and perceptive boy I have!
And yesterday, after playing at the park for a little over an hour, he told me that he had a hard day (mind you it was only 2 pm). I asked him what made it so hard, and he said because he was digging so hard in the sand. Man, life's rough.
I went in to check on Jonathan tonight, and this is what I saw...

He was right; he did have a couple of "hard days." He was sprawled out on his bed looking completely SPENT!

Way too Precious! Oh to have a "hard day" like these little people....their turn will come.
I love the lining up of all the toys. Greg's mom said that he used to line up all his hot wheels and play for hours like that, too cute!
Isabelle will line up her toys too. She's funny because she loves the boys toys as well. She plays with their hot wheels, their Dinosaurs (loves them), their other animals and their Legos too. It is a good thing they don't mind sharing (most of the time). Other days, it's all about the dolls and their accessories. I never get tired of watching kids play!

"HOLY COW!" I totally agree! Those toddler days can be pretty rough!

I love the little toy line-up. I love, even more, that most of them are from kid's meals! What better place than a long hallway, too. Very ingenius!

That's a classic sleeping photo. I am glad no one is taking MY picture when I am sleeping. :)

Dang it! I love him! He is so funny. The lining up of the cars is classic. Save that pic forever. Dude - nerd alert - you save your CFA animal puzzles?

Maybe he and William could get together and talk about their HARD days. William's involves dropping a skateboard on his toes, hitting his head on the bar multiple times, and only getting to drink 8 sippy cups of milk, rather than the 18 he wanted and asked for!

Jonathan is too cute. I love the pics of him sleeping. He looks like mini-Janis. You get puzzles and animals from CFA? We just get dumb books!

Jen, maybe you and I will get to talk in the next 6 months. That would be fun!

He is so cute--such a sweet boy. Love the "racing" line. And the sleeping pics are great--I love the way kids look when they are sleeping.
